The Cheltenham Connection thumbnail11am coffee concert in Holy Apostles, Charlton Kings.

We are pleased to be invited to open the new season of Warwick Cole's popular coffee concerts on Saturday 7 October. The concert starts at 11am and lasts about 45 minutes. Holy Apostles Church will be open from 10:30am for coffee and homemade cake. It's all free with donations requested.

Our programme is all by composers with a Cheltenham connection. We present works by well-known composers Howells and Holst; the glorious Reproaches by Sanders (if you don't know this piece, come for this alone), several pieces written for the choir by Gryspeerdt, Freya Ireland and Tom Kane; and music by our own multi-talented conductor, Ben Sawyer.

We hope you will be able to join us in this celebration of the quality, depth and variety of local music.

The full programme is as follows:

Et nos cedamus - Tom Kane
Like as the Hart - Herbert Howells (1892-1983)
Ave Maria - Gustav Holst (1874-1934)
A Song for Croome - Freya Ireland (b.1998)
